UNITY Foundation is seeking 3–6 faith-driven leaders to serve on our Board of Directors and help guide our mission of rebuilding lives in Camden County, NJ and Philadelphia County, PA.

Our Mission

UNITY Foundation rebuilds lives through faith — serving men re-entering society, families facing housing instability, and communities across Camden County, NJ and Philadelphia County, PA through holistic, Christ-centered support.

Time Commitment

Monthly board meetings (approx. 1.5–2 hrs), quarterly planning sessions, and occasional committee work. Estimated 4–6 hours/month. Remote participation options available.

What We Need

Leaders with backgrounds in nonprofit governance, ministry, legal, finance, healthcare, education, or community development. Heart for the mission matters most.

Board Member Responsibilities

As a UNITY Foundation board member, you will be asked to:

  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the executive director
  • Review and approve annual budgets, financial statements, and audits
  • Attend and participate in monthly board meetings
  • Serve on at least one committee (Finance, Programs, or Fundraising)
  • Help identify and secure funding, grants, and community partnerships
  • Act as an ambassador for UNITY Foundation in Camden County, NJ and Philadelphia County, PA
  • Uphold and promote the Foundation's faith-based values and code of ethics
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse when appropriate

Per New Jersey nonprofit law (N.J.S.A. 15A:6-1), Pennsylvania nonprofit law, and IRS 501(c)(3) governance standards — open to candidates serving Camden County, NJ and Philadelphia County, PA:
