U.N.I.T.Y Connector › Resources › Delaware Reentry
25 government-verified organizations across New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties — reentry services, housing, substance abuse treatment, legal aid, employment, and mental health support.
If you're coming home to Delaware after incarceration, the resources exist — but the system doesn't hand you a map. I've spent years navigating these doors, and I know what it's like to be released with nothing but a bus ticket and a list of phone numbers that don't pick up. This guide is built different. Every organization here is verified through .gov sources or BBB — not pulled from a Google search. Reentry in Delaware is possible. Let's get you started.
Delaware is a small state with a concentrated social services network. The Delaware Department of Correction has formal partnerships with many of these organizations, which means if you're coming out of Vaughn Correctional Center, Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, or Sussex Correctional, these are the people already in the loop. The Department of Labor's One Stop centers in each county are your fastest path to employment services and WIOA funding — don't skip them.
Legal aid is critical and often overlooked. The Community Legal Aid Society of Delaware (CLASI) has offices in all three counties and provides free civil legal services including expungement support, housing law, and reentry assistance. If you're dealing with a criminal record affecting your housing applications — CLASI is your call.
Delaware Statewide
