Beloved in Christ,
Before you were a husband, a father, a worker, a citizen — you were dust. Breath placed in clay. The Most High bent low and breathed into nostrils made from the earth. That breath is still in you. You are not just a body. You are not just a soul. You are image-bearer, created to reflect the glory of the One who formed you.
And when sin cracked that image like a mirror, God did not discard you. He sent His Son — born of a woman, born under the law — to walk this same dust-covered road. He was tired. He was hungry. He wept. He bled. And He did it all so that image could be restored, and dust could become a child of God once again.
This is the story of the Church of Return. Not a place you go. A person you become. Born from dust, born again in Christ.
Lord, You formed me from the dust of the earth and breathed into me the breath of life. You made me in Your image — holy and righteous and full of purpose.
Forgive me for the times I have devalued that image — in myself and in others. Forgive me for the shame I have carried that was never mine to carry, and the pride I have shown that was never mine to claim.
Renew me in the image of my Creator. Make me more like Christ today than I was yesterday. And help me see every person I meet as You see them — as someone You made, someone You love, and someone worth dying for.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
