Dear Community,
In a world filled with pressure, uncertainty, and comparison, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by anger, anxiety, and self-doubt.
Faith invites us not just to cope — but to transform.
Today we go deeper into the two-sided wall: one side is what we feel, the other side is what God says. And the wall we build between them — through discipline, through scripture, through surrender — is where our peace actually lives.
Anxiety comes from fear. Anger comes from pain. Negative thinking comes from believing lies instead of truth.
These emotions are real — but they don't have to rule you. You are not commanded to be numb. You are commanded to be anchored.
The battle is real. But so is the victory.
Here's the truth the enemy doesn't want you to hear: Feelings are weather. They pass through. But you — the person underneath — are permanent. You are held.
Fix your eyes on God's truth instead of your fears. Not because the fear isn't real — but because His answer to it is bigger than the fear itself.
The world says: Follow your feelings. Trust your gut. Do what feels right.
Scripture says: Fix your eyes on Jesus. What He says is true, even when it contradicts what you feel.
This is the two-sided wall at its most practical: one side is what you feel right now. The other side is what God says about you right now. Which one do you let govern your decisions?
Break this down: Cast means to throw. Not carry — throw.
Every weight you hold — the job you might lose, the relationship that's falling apart, the diagnosis you're waiting on, the bill you can't pay — He's asking you to release.
Not to ignore it. Not to deny it. Cast it. Throw it. Lay it at His feet and keep walking.
Why? Because He cares for you. That is the reason. Not because you earned it. Not because you performed well enough. Because He cares.
Anxiety whispers: "You're alone in this."
God says: "Cast it on Me. I am holding you."
Anger is not always wrong. There is a righteous anger — the kind Jesus displayed when He cleared the temple. But the anger that controls you, that wakes you up at 2 AM, that rewrites your conversations in your head — that is the kind that becomes a prison.
James 1:19 says: "Be slow to anger."
Not angry about nothing — be slow. Wait. Don't react in the first moment. The gap between stimulus and response is where your spiritual walk is built.
Anger held too long becomes a prison. Be slow to pick it up. Be quick to lay it down.
The person who wronged you? They may never apologize. You may never get closure. But you — you can choose. You can decide that your emotional freedom is worth more than being right.
Negative self-reflection tells you: You failed again. You always do. You're not good enough. God gave up on you.
God says: "You are loved. You are chosen. You are made new."
2 Corinthians 5:17 — the old is gone. Not diminished. Not reformed. Gone. The new has come. And if you're in Christ — that is you. That is your real identity.
The lie the enemy whispers in the dark is: "You are what you did."
The truth is: You are not what you did. You are what He says you are.
When the negative voice starts — stop it. Renew your mind. Replace the lie with scripture. This is the daily discipline that separates believers who walk in peace from those who are consumed by their own thoughts.
Romans 12:2 says: "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
This is not a one-time decision — it's a daily surrender. Every morning, you choose truth over the lie the enemy is whispering. Every time a worried thought enters, you take it captive. Every time resentment starts to grow, you release it.
Think of it this way: your mind is a garden. Left alone, it grows weeds. You have to tend it daily. Scripture is your tool. Prayer is your water. Obedience is your sunlight.
The man or woman who walks in consistent peace — it's not that they never feel anxious. It's that they have learned to cast it immediately, renew their mind daily, and stay anchored when the wind picks up.
Faith doesn't remove emotions.
It gives you power over them.
You are not your feelings.
You are not your anxiety.
You are not your anger.
You are a new creation in Christ.
Blessings,
