Curriculum & Modules

Eight modules, each rooted in the S.A.A.L.T. five-pillar framework — Stillness, Awareness, Action, Learning, Transformation. Every session pairs Scripture-grounded teaching with real-world tools for early and long-term recovery.

FOUNDATIONS

Module 1 — Foundations of Addiction & Recovery

Brain · Heart · Spiritual Dynamics

How addiction forms in the brain, the patterns that drive it, and what genuine recovery demands of us. Triggers, relapse patterns, Scripture & stillness in early recovery, daily habits that hold you steady.

SCRIPTURE

Module 2 — The Role of Scripture in Recovery

The Word as a Steady Anchor

Stillness and prayer as the first line of defense. Meditating on the Word daily; Scripture for anxiety, anger, self-doubt; the rhythms of a Christian walk that hold up under pressure.

S.A.A.L.T.

Module 3 — Stillness & Awareness (Pillars 1–2)

S.A.A.L.T. Framework

Morning stillness practice; emotional awareness; recognizing triggers before they fire. The first two pillars of S.A.A.L.T. — the disciplines that catch the storm before it lands.

S.A.A.L.T.

Module 4 — Action & Learning (Pillars 3–4)

S.A.A.L.T. Framework

Putting the work into practice; learning from setbacks instead of being undone by them. Rebuilding habits one day at a time — the third and fourth pillars of S.A.A.L.T.

SKILLS

Module 5 — Counseling Skills & Active Listening

Listening as a Ministry

Holding space; asking the right questions; recognizing crisis in real time; the boundaries that protect both the listener and the person in front of you.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Module 6 — Healthy Intervention & Confrontation

Speaking the Truth in Love

Speaking the truth in love. Intervention rooted in the Gospel — naming what is happening without condemnation; protecting relationships through honesty, not silence.

LONG-TERM

Module 7 — Long-Term Recovery & Relapse Prevention

Years, Not Weeks

Navigating setbacks without giving up. Building an accountability circle; protecting sobriety over years, not weeks. The daily rhythms that turn recovery into a life, not a phase.

PURPOSE

Module 8 — Reentry, Family Repair & Purpose

Commissioning Forward

Employment, family, and calling after incarceration. Finishing well. Commissioning forward into the work God has for you on the other side of the course.
